We are super excited to be opening up Auditions to join Eloquent, for the very first time in a long time! We are pleased to introduce a new layout which features brand new training programmes for our youth and adult companies and we will be welcoming new talent in each division.
Eloquent upkeep an excellent reputation founded on our core values which include Excellence, Unity and Passion. Eloquent creates bold, groundbreaking work which fuses Hip Hop with Contemporary Fusion; and often incorporates different sub genres into our work to display a fusion of styles. ELOQUENT is deeply committed to using dance as a tool for social change and displaying conveying the art of brilliance through storytelling. We actively engage with social issues and address them through creative and thought-provoking performances. By tackling topics such as equality, racial justice, mental health, faith and other relevant issues, Eloquent seeks to create awareness, provoke conversations, and inspire positive action within the community all whilst entertaining our audiences.

ELOQUENT YOUTH COMPANY - NXT GEN (11-15 yrs - General/Intermediate):

NXT GEN is a dynamic platform for youth dancers to gain the necessary skills to shine where young talent ignites, flourishes, and takes center stage. As a member of NXT GEN, you'll be part of a vibrant community of like-minded young performers who share your passion for dance and artistic expression.
Dancers should show a strong understanding of technical skills and the ability to perform well, or the potential to meet performance requirements, all while expressing your unique style and sensitivity in your performances. Moreover, it's great if you have some experience in choreography or the talent to creatively work with dance material.
As part of the Eloquent Youth Company you will have the opportunity to get high level dance training in our core genres Hip Hop and Contemporary Fusion from leading members of Eloquent’s Teaching faculty whilst having regular workshops in other dance styles to expand your vocab.

ELOQUENT YOUTH/ADULT COMPANY - EMERGE (15-21 yrs - Gen/Int):

EMERGE is for aspiring professional artists who are committed to the next level of their artistic growth designed to help you emerge as a skilled and expressive dance artist.
Dancers should exhibit a solid grasp of technical skills and competence, possess performance experience, or the ability to meet performance criteria while showcasing individuality and sensitivity in their performances. Additionally, dancers should either have prior choreographic experience or display a knack for creatively shaping dance material.

ELOQUENT ADULTS COMPANY - ELITE (18+ to Adult - Adv/Elite):

ELITE is designed for aspiring/professional dancers who aspire to achieve the highest standards of excellence in their craft.
Eloquent Elite is for mature dance artists who are seriously committed and driven. Artists should show either advanced technical know-how or have the potential to get there. These dancers are physically fit, possess impeccable stage presence, understand the art of storytelling , possess versatility, a love for challenges, and experience in different styles or art forms. Dancers will showcase a strong sense of dedication and emotional awareness, expressing their unique creativity through choreography and excellent communication abilities.
Opportunities Include:
High Quality Performance Opportunities ranging across theatre,live shows,outdoor productions, community festivals, music videos and such alike
Advanced Training in Hip Hop Styles and Contemporary Fusion
Regular guest teachers in a variety of choreographic styles
Participation in prominent external performances
Multitude of opportunities for paid professional work
Potential to become an Eloquent Teacher for in house teaching work and our external educational programmes within schools and colleges

If you are successful in your audition to Eloquent you will be offered a place in one of the companies listed above.
Weekly training sessions information
If you are successful in your audition to Eloquent you will be offered a place in one of the companies listed above.You will be training & rehearsing every Saturday from September 2023 until July 2024 at Eloquent. An outline of the timetable is as follows: Eloquent Youth NXT GEN: [Wednesdays 5:30-6:45pm & Saturdays 12-3pm] (Time Subject To Change)
Eloquent Youth/Adults Emerge: [Saturdays 2-5pm]
Eloquent Adults Elite: [Saturdays 2:30-5:30pm]
Location: Eloquent Arts Centre, 41 Lichfield Road, Aston, Birmingham, B6 5RW
Cost: £16.50 per week, charged monthly at the beginning of every month (For Saturdays Only, please note this does not include Wednesdays)
Please Note: We will have open classes taking place on Wednesdays as usual which dancers are more than welcome to attend for further training, these classes are separate to company training sessions.
Eloquent Company Weekly Training Sessions are not drop-in dance sessions; successful applicants will be members of the company for the 2023/24 academic year.
Audition Details:

Deadline: Friday 22nd September, 5pm
- The audition will consist of two classes and a creative task - you do not need to prepare any material for the audition.
- An external guest teacher will teach one of the classes within the audition
- Please note, dancers will not find out the result of their audition on the day - this will be communicated via email over the following week.
